I met Tumi about 12 years ago. We had an interesting first encounter, to say the least. From that day on, our relationship grew to the sisterhood that we share today. I have always said that Tumi was created to be someone’s wife. She has always exhibited the qualities of a wife, including that of being one of the best cooks I know (I’m hoping she will keep cooking for me AND her new family). She doesn’t know this (well, she does now that she has read this), but I have always asked God to send her a husband who would love her unconditionally. She got that. From the moment I met Wole, I knew that she had met a man that would grow to be her best friend. I didn’t know if he would be her husband, but I knew that God had sent her a man who would love her unconditionally. In May of 2014, God confirmed that Wole was the husband he sent (good job on that ring!). I remembered screaming (I was at someone else’s wedding reception, so oops) and have been so genuinely happy for my sister and my new pseudo brother-in-law to start their journey together as husband and wife. I am ready for this wedding. I don’t dance, but I will be dancing that day, so you can hold me to that. I am also thankful to Wole for accepting me as an intermittent participant at the dinner table (hint hint) and as a future godmother to one of the children (hint hint to both of you). I love you both! Don’t forget to always put God at the center of your relationship.
